This is the display that greeted me at my local supermarket this morning... I think that Jesus and Santa themselves would have been groaning at the sight.
The horrible part, is that almost every store has pared down their Halloween decorations in order to put up a little Christmas. I guess they realize that there is nothing scarier than the realization that eventually Christmas will be up year-round. After all, we need a little Christmas, right this very minute. Candles in the window, carols at the spinet. Excuse me, I am going to go perform a letter-opener lobotomy,a s I now have that song stuck in my head.

I saw Christmas decor at Costco two weeks ago and threw up in my mouth a little bit. Seems to hit earlier and earlier every year.
