I, too, use the qualifiers all the time: birth mom, adoptive mom, forever mom, stepmom, etc. I like the way you think. I could just say my girl has two moms. Just today my Girl from the East told me that kids who have more than one mom and dad are so lucky because they have all the more love. I know she doesn't fully get the scope of things but it's an interesting take, don't you think?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7670512488001349318.post-56336223422463772072012-06-16T04:01:39.342-06:002012-06-16T04:01:39.342-06:00A wonderful post. At the time I was adopted my "birth mother" was called my "natural mother". Weird.

Just from my own personal point of view, and I don't want to offend anyone, but I only wanted one mother and I view my birth mother as someone who just gave birth to me. My real mum is the one that was there for me from 2 weeks old. Not that it was all plain sailing, but I consider her to be my mum. I'm not sure I could have coped with the emotions of having another one too. But that's just me.LL Cool Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13916666100971008775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7670512488001349318.post-60768478137660444192012-06-11T10:18:34.094-06:002012-06-11T10:18:34.094-06:00You got a true gift from the woman who knew Meg be...You got a true gift from the woman who knew Meg before she was Meg - but you are also doing an amazing job with your daughter.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10582144016533287896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7670512488001349318.post-87022043797287212182012-06-11T07:45:07.668-06:002012-06-11T07:45:07.668-06:00Egad, woman.
